Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Wheaton
PAW PAW, W.Va. — Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Wheaton of Paw Paw, W.Va., former area residents, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversay by renewing their vows Jan. 28 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wellsburg, 50 years to the day of their marriage there.
The Rev. Daniel Pisano officiated for the renewal ceremony that was followed by a reception held at Vito’s 2 in Follansbee, which was attended by family and friends.
The Rev. Daniel Kirwin officiated for the 1967 ceremony that united Wheaton, son of the late Homer and Edna Wheaton, and the former Mary E. Isinghood, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Isinghood.
Wheaton retired in 2010, having served 25 years in the Marine Corps, 15 years with McDonnel Douglas and 10 years with NCIS.
Mrs. Wheaton also retired in 2010 after having worked for the U.S. government in a variety of positions, including the White House Military Office and Department of Justice.
They have two children: Ralph L. Wheaton Jr. of Godfrey, Ill., and Michelle E. Brickner of Lugoff, S.C.
They have four grandchildren.
