Spencer — Mooney

STEUBENVILLE – Meghan Eileen Spencer and Peter Damian Mooney were united in marriage on June 7 at Holy Name Cathedral in Steubenville. Bishop Jeffrey Monforton presided at the wedding ceremony and the Rev. Thomas Nau was the concelebrant.

The bride is the daughter of Bob and Eileen Spencer of Steubenville.

The groom is the son of Patrick and Joann Mooney of Nokesville, Va.

Kateri Spencer, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor, and Naomi Spencer, also sister of the bride, was a bridesmaid. There were 10 additional friends and cousins as bridesmaids in the wedding party.

Connor Cook, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Patrick, Paul and William Mooney, all brothers of the groom, served as groomsmen along with Ben and Kolbe Spencer, brothers of the bride. Six additional friends of Peter’s also served as groomsmen.

The bride attended Franciscan University of Steubenville and graduated with a degree in English literature and secondary education.

The groom is a second lieutenant in the Army. He graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in accounting and military science.

The couple live is Honolulu, Hawaii.
