Smith — Hollidge

NEW CUMBERLAND – Eva Nicole Smith and Jeffrey Keith Hollidge Jr. were united in marriage Jan. 24 during a double-ring ceremony at the First Church of Christ (Disciples) in East Liverpool.

The Rev. Kevin Bowers of the First Christian Church (Disciples) in Weirton officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Tina Smith of New Cumberland.

She wore a designer gown that featured a bateau neckline with intricate beaded appliques over a sweetheart bodice, along with an open heart-shaped back and a cathedral train with heavy beading.

She carried a hand bouquet of winter white roses, tipped in silver.

The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Keri Hollidge of Franklin, Pa., and Julie and Alan Bly of Oil City, Pa.

The maid of honor was Christine Engle, and Alyssa Gargasz served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Julianne Pia, Krystle Fava, Candace Fava and cousins Haileigh Ketchum, Samantha Ketchum and Hillarie Ketchum.

Flower girls were Adison Ketchum, the bride’s cousin, and Ellie Morrow, the groom’s cousin.

The best man was Brad Belcher. The groomsmen included the groom’s brother, Jared Hollidge; his cousin, Chad Bowler; Zach Karcz; Andrew O’Shall; Will Vanbeek; and Jackson Ketchum, the bride’s cousin.

Honorary groomsman was the bride’s cousin, Airman Garrett Ketchum.

The ring bearer was Colt Morrow, the groom’s cousin.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the DoubleTree by Marriott in Moon Township, Pa.

The bride graduated from Weir High School in 2007 and from Slippery Rock University in 2011, where she earned dual bachelor degrees in elementary and special education. She also earned a master’s of special education degree, with an emphasis in autism, in 2012 from SRU. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Valley Grove Elementary School in Franklin, Pa.

The groom graduated in 2006 from Oil City High School and attended Clarion University. He graduated from the Mercyhurst Police Academy and is a sheriff’s deputy with the Venango County (Pa.) Sheriff’s Office.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Canta, Dominican Republic, and live in Oil City, Pa.
