Roush — Schmied

BLOOMINGDALE – Via Vecchia Winery in Columbus was the setting for the Sept. 27, 2014, wedding that united Lauren Roush and Brett Schmied. The 5:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the bride’s Uncle, Samuel Dorff.

The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Marilyn Roush of Bloomingdale. She chose a white lace, fit and flare gown with sweetheart neckline. The gown was adorned with a Swarovski crystal sash. She wore her mother’s veil and carried a bouquet of baby’s breath.

The groom is the son of Rick and Lorraine Schmied of Wintersville.

Sisters of the bride, Alison Butler of Pataskala and Meredith Patterson of Steubenville, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Romey of Toronto and Elizabeth Guth of Pittsburgh.

Brother of the groom, Greg Schmied of Canal Winchester, served as best man. Groomsmen were Gary Babaryk of Zanesville, Matt Mark of Pasadena, Calif., and Christopher Mantica of Cincinnati.

After a reception, also held at Via Vecchia Winery, the newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 2010 graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in fashion and retail studies. She is employed by DSW Inc. as an associate buyer at their corporate office in Columbus.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 2006 graduate of Muskingum College. He received he is juris doctorate in 2009 from Ohio Northern University. He is employed by AEP as a project outreach specialist.

The couple reside in Columbus.
