Freeland — Rosa
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Victoria Elizabeth Freeland and Mateus Eduardo Nunes Rosa were united in marriage on May 4 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Washington, D.C ., Temple. On May 6 they exchanged rings, and a reception was held immediately after the ceremony at the Diamond Lake Event Barn in Scio.
Brother James Harlan officiated the ring ceremony.
Escorted by her father, Jason Russell Freeland, the bride wore a long white gown featuring fine beading on the dress and veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and pearl centers with tiny white wedding flowers.
Sydney Craig served as the maid of honor. Braidsmaids were Isabelle Freeland, sister of the bride, Jordan Lemon, Adrianna Lamp, Charity Doyel and Andrea Artman.
The flower girls were Sophia VerStraten, the bride’s cousin, and Eduarda Rosa Pinheiro, a niece of the groom.
Mitch Wade served as the best man with Tome Pinheiro, the groom’s brother in law, Jesse Risdon and Koby Sullivan serving as groomsmen.
The bride is a 2013 graduate of Edison High School and is attending Brigham Young University main campus in Provo, Utah, majoring in elementary education.
The groom is a 2013 graduate of Instituto Federal Fluminense, Macae, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, and will be attending the LDS Business School in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the fall.
The couple honeymooned in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and reside in Provo, Utah.
