Eat’n Park wins award for safety
PITTSBURGH — Eat’n Park Hospitality Group Inc. has won the 2017 Food Allergy Award in the best tood allergy training category by AllerTrain by MenuTrinfo, a leader in food allergy and gluten-free training.
The awards honor restaurants and universities that are at the forefront of food allergy safety standards and training. Eat’n Park was chosen as a winner because of the company’s commitment to education and the depth of training provided to its team members.
“We are proud to receive national recognition for our food-allergy training,” said Bill Moore, Eat’n Park’s director of safety and security. “We work diligently to ensure the safety of all of our guests and clients who place a great deal of trust in us. We do all we can to continue to earn that trust every day, and this recognition validates our efforts.”
Eat’n Park has a long history of leadership in food-allergy training. The company was one of the first in the nation to have its safety team certified as trainers by MenuTrinfo.
Eat’n Park uses a company-wide superhero safety initiative aimed at supporting the corporate goal of providing a safe working environment in a fun way. Through the initiative, more than 250 of the group’s managers and assistant managers achieved AllerTrain certification.
“The quality of nominations we received was overwhelming, and choosing the winners was extremely difficult,” said Betsy Craig, CEO of MenuTrinfo. “Eat’n Park’s safety initiative stood out to us because it was a fun, innovative way to make an impact on team members, who therefore show much more empathy and care for their guests.”
