Credit unions hold coloring contests

The Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter of Credit Unions recognized area children during its 14th-annual coloring contest. More than 3,000 entries were submitted by pupils in Brooke and Hancock counties and members of area credit unions. Each of the winning pupils received $25, a certficate and a souvenir picture. Among those taking part in the Oct. 11 recognition were, from left, front, Aalyah Kocher, Brady Six, Sophia Jones, Aryanna Acosta, Emma Bober and Jackson McCombs; middle, Arietta Brown, Dalton Smith, Keira Vick, Dixie Louthen, Kylie McClain and Madison Morris; and back, Michalene Mills, Beech Bottom Primary principal; Janet Stagani, president of the Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter and Tin Mill Community FCU; Dan Dudley, Eagle Can Employees FCU, Scott Winwood, First Choice America Community FCU; Weirton Mayor Harold Miller; and David Karas, Hancock County Employees FCU. Also recieiving awards were Noah Ensminger, Tiahna Grant and McKenzie Linger. The contest was held in conjunction with International Credit Union Day. The chapter consists Eagle Can Employees Federal Credit Union, First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union, Hancock School Employees Federal Credit Union, Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union and Tin Mill Community Federal Credit Union. =Contributed
