Celebrations grand re-opening

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce was on hand during the recent grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at Celebrations at 2700 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, in the Gallery Building. Owners Angie and Kent Kirkpatrick are carrying on a family business that originally was named Ohio Novelty & Candy Co. Inc. It first was opened in 1919 and purchased by Carlo and Mildred Antonucci in 1949. Rich Antonucci, Carlo and Mildred’s son, and his wife, Jane, purchased the store from his parents in 1978 and gradually transformed it into the retail business. Angie Kirkpatrick worked for Rich Antonucci and alongside Carlo Antonucci. The business offers latex balloons, balloon and candy bouquets and a variety of party supplies.
