Coloring contest winners
Pupils at Buckeye South Elementary were named winners of a coloring contest recently held by Peoples National Bank of Mount Pleasant. The bank sponsored the contest for those in grades kindergarten through sixth as part of the American Bankers Association Foundation’s national Teach Children to Save financial education campaign. Each pupil received a Money Talks newsletter, a savings road map, among other information, and the selected artwork is being displayed in the lobby of all bank branches. Winners were named from each grade and received a trophy, certificate and a bank, while bank officials agreed to match up to $25 of deposits for children who open a savings account at any of the branches. Taking part were, front, from left, Peyton McNeil, Addahlon Travis and Reagan Hewett; middle, McKayla Grady, Alexis Slie, Aeriel Bennett-Rush and Hunter Higgins; and back, PNB representatives Crystal Carpenter and Mindy Michalo.
