Business Expo set for Feb. 23-24
STEUBENVILLE – Local businesses can get facetime with the buying public during the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce’s 13th-annual Business Expo set Feb. 23-24 at the Fort Steuben Mall.
Chamber President Sue Hershey said the expo is designed to help businesses cultivate contacts.
“In the past, so many people have said they’d generated numerous clients, visits to their showrooms and businesses and appointments because of the expo,” she said.
The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 and from noon to 3 p.m. on Feb. 24. Fees are $200 for non-members and $100 for chamber members, which includes an 8-foot table and two chairs. Additional spaces are available for $50.
Hershey said they typically have as many as 40 businesses participating.
“It’s not limited to chamber members,” she said. “Although the registration fee is considerably discounted for chamber members, it’s available for both chamber members and non-members.”
Participation typically runs the gamut from schools and contractors to tree services, hospice services and restaurants, she said. “There’s just always been a good variety,” Hershey said. “The expo gives the business community an opportunity to display their products and services to the general public. (And) being that it’s at center court in the Fort Steuben Mall, it’s an ideal venue for businesses and organizations that want to set up a table and interact with the general public.”
