Steubenville’s Microtel will open Monday

STEUBENVILLE – The city’s new Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham hotel will open Monday.

Located at 909 Buckeye St., the inn, owned by Steubenville Hospitality LLC and operated by SKY hospitality, is located directly off state Route 7 and U.S. Route 22, two blocks from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

The 79-room, four-story interior-corridor hotel offers single, double and king suite accommodations showcasing Microtel’s award-winning new prototype design.

It boasts a contemporary environment with amenities that guests would not ordinarily expect to find in a select service hotel such as free Wi-Fi and free local and long-distance phone calls. All guestrooms feature flat-panel, high-definition televisions with free HBO; coffee makers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards; and functional workstations with desktop accessible power and data ports. Additional amenities include pillow-top mattress and high-quality linens with triple sheeting.

Guests will receive a complimentary breakfast featuring a variety of hot and cold items. The hotel features two guest laundry facilities, two business centers and a fitness center. It also features an indoor fireplace, water fountains and views of the Ohio River valley.

An open house will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The public is invited to stop by and tour the new facility, enjoy complimentary refreshments and enter into a drawing for a free iPad. General Manager Diane Lawver and her team members will be available to conduct tours and answer any questions.
