Trucker training through EGCC to begin in January

LISBON – The truck driving academy/ PEC Safeland Compliance training is set to begin Jan. 6 in Lisbon. Registration must be made immediately.

Eastern Gateway Community College partnered with Southern State Community College to bring the in-demand commercial driving license program to Eastern Ohio.

The driving academy runs for four weeks, and PEC Safeland Compliance requires 24 hours of training. The total cost is $5,300.

Eastern Gateway will provide the PEC Safeland Compliance training.

PEC Compliance is SafeLand accredited and is accepted by every major and most mid-major operators in the USA.

The Class A CDL and Class B CDL program requires 160 classroom hours for completion. The four-week program is offered daytime hours Monday through Friday. All of the coursework for the program will be offered by Southern State TDA instructors.
