“The Indian Creek High School and Wheeling Jesuit University graduate said she has 10 years experience as a doctor of physical therapy.

“We basically do physical therapy here. That’s our emphasis,” she said, adding the fitness center offers daily and monthly memberships, personal training and programs in Zumba, tabata, big ball toning and SilverSneakers. “Walk-ins are welcome.

“Our goal is to grow in the community while helping keep our community’s residents healthy and fit,” Mallas continued. “Our fitness center includes a wide variety of weight machines and fitness equipment, a large cardio section with flat-screen TVs and a full, free-weight section.”

Mallas said patients and clients are assessed for any issues and their medical history examined.

“We get a full picture of the patient and set up an individualized treatment plan,” she said. “The faccility is exceptionally clean, with locker rooms, each with two spacious showers and free day lockers. SilverSneakers is accepted, with classes available 11 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We also accept the majority of health care insurance plans.”

Mallas said she’s assisted by Lance Seamon, physical therapist assistant, athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist.
