Chapter of Credit Unions celebrates Halloween

The Weirton Wellsburg Chapter of Credit Unions celebrated Halloween by hosting a “Senior Spooktacular” for the residents of Weirton Geriatric Center. Volunteers from the credit unions, nursing home staff and residents dressed up in a variety of costumes for the Halloween party and danced with music by disc jockeys, Peg and Harry Hugey. Costume prizes were presented. Jim Tate, “the Magic Man,” performed magic tricks and created balloon animals. Several members of the Weir High and Oak Glen Key Clubs and Weirton Madonna Interact Club attended and assisted residents throughout the evening. “This is the 13th year for this event, and we are so proud to provide the seniors with a night of fun and dancing. It gives the volunteers great joy to be able to provide a happy atmosphere for the residents,” said Janet Stagani, Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter president. The Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter consists of the Eagle Can Employees Federal Credit Union, First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union, Hancock School Employees Federal Credit Union, Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union and Tin Mill Community Federal Credit Union.
