WMC auxiliary holds meeting
WEIRTON – The Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary held its monthly meeting Jan. 15 in the Starvaggi Boardroom, with President Sondra Weigel calling the meeting to order and leading the 22 members in the auxiliary prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
Administrative Liaison Barbara Coalter provided updates on several items of interest and the progress of changes throughout the hospital, and Secretary Elda Weekley read the minutes of the November meeting. Treasurer Paula Billick gave the financial status of the auxiliary.
Auxiliary Service chairs made the following reports: Phil Troia, clergy; John Patton, coffee cart; Barbara Visnic, gift cart; Jeannie Duffy, gift shop schedule; Barbara Cameron, information/surgical desk; Paula Billick, payroll deductions; Elda Weekley, publicity; Diana Crago, radiology; Beth DiGregorio, surgical escorts; Peggy Barber, mail; Margaret Patton, volunteens. Patton reported the group has eight volunteens who will be graduating this year.
Special reports were given by Grace Lenhart, historian; Vivian Weigel, gift shop committee; and Alma Wansack, remembrance fund. Dolores Krinock, membership, reported member William McCardel passed away. Rose Ulizio, Mrs. Bubbles program, reported Barbara Hall and Minerva Gutwald had joined the Bubble Brigade.
Sondra Weigel, volunteen hours, reported the top three volunteens for the third quarter were Miranda Sarber, 48; Brice Hickey, 40; and Spencer Setcavage, 36. Katy Rosohac, record of volunteer hours chair, reported members volunteering the most hours for the third quarter included Sondra Weigel, 262.5; Elda Weekley, 180.5; Pat Gurrera, 178; Augie DiGirolamo, 166; Jeannie Duffy, 144; Paula Billick, 137.5; Flo Jonczak, 132.5; Barbara Cameron, 115; Marilyn Hinchee, 115; and Marg DiClemente, 99.
Gift shop manager Roberta Ziemer and auxiliary president Sondra Weigel will be attending the Southeastern conference to be held April 7-10 in Baltimore, Md. They will also visit the gift mart March 15-18 in Columbus, Ohio.

April 24-25 Masquerade $5 jewelry sale.
The auxiliary’s next meeting will be Feb. 19.
