Churches plan Lenten services

WELLSBURG – The Wellsburg Ministerium has announced that Wellsburg area churches and their clergy will again participate in a series of Lenten services through Easter.

The services are open to people of all denominations. Many are led by a clergy member visiting from another Wellsburg church.

The schedule follows:

7 p.m. Thursday, Wellsburg First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Gene Sheppard.

7 p.m. Feb. 28, Christ Episcopal Church, the Rev. Angel Adams.

7 p.m. March 7, New Day Christian Center, the Rev. Jerome Anderson.

7 p.m. March 14, Henderson Chapel AME, the Rev. Bryce Grieco.

7 p.m. March 21, Windsor Heights Church of God, the Rev. Carl Tribbet.

noon March 29, Wellsburg Christian Church, Good Friday service with the theme “Seven Last Sayings of Christ” and featuring Adams, Joy Leasure, Anderson, the Rev. Dan Pisano, Grieco, the Rev. Aaron Miller and the Rev. Carl Terry.

7 a.m. March 31 at Brooke Hills Park Clubhouse, Easter sunrise service with the Rev. Carl Tribbet.
