STEUBENVILLE – A Child’s Place CASA, Ltd., is partnering with Eastern Gateway Community College to present a pair of programs aimed at shedding light on physical and sexual abuse of children.

The workshop will be repeated April 17 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Those attending the April session should register by March 27.

It’s designed for any individual or organization concerned about the safety of children. Book fee is $20.

Making a Difference: Child Abuse & Neglect, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27, will help participants better understand the indicators of child abuse and neglect, child welfare laws, how the child protection system works and ways they can make a difference in the life of a child. Information on A Child’s Place CASA and how to become a court-appointed special advocate or other volunteer also will be provided.
