Lunch with Books programs announced

WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library has announced the upcoming Lunch With Books programs.

They include:

noon Tuesday, “Holding the Line.” Joe Geiger will discuss his book about the Battle of Allegheny Mountain and Confederate defense of the Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike in 1861-1862. Geiger is the director of Archives and History at the West Virginia Division of Culture and History.

noon April 9, “Green-Silver and Silent: Poems. West Virginia Poet Laureate Marc Harshman will read from his new book of poems.

noon April 16, “A History of the Ohio County Public Library.” As a part of our National Library Week observance, Dr. Chuck Julian will review the rich history of the Ohio County Public Library in Wheeling, the oldest public library in the state of West Virginia.

Lunch With Books programs are free and open to the public. Patrons are invited to bring a bag lunch and free beverages are served.
