Societies to hold wine-tasting

WEIRTON – The St. Joseph the Worker and St. Paul holy name societies are hosting their annual wine-tasting event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 13 at the Madonna High School gymnasium.

Thirty local winemakers will be offering their wines. The event will include finger foods, soft drinks, a 50/50 drawing and a chocolate fountain.

Sponsorship packages are available and include tickets to the event, inclusion in the event program and sponsorship signage on display at the event.

To date, sponsors include Serra Village Retirement Community, First Choice America, Fans First Signs and Shirts, platinum sponsors; Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort, gold sponsor; Weirton Lumber Co., Sellitti, Nogay and McCune, Michael DiDomenico and Dr. Alain Alimario, silver sponsors; Frankovitch, Anetakis, Colantonio and Simon, James White Construction, Lyle’s Auto, Dee-Jay’s BBQ Ribs and Grille, United Bank, Marsh Hardware and Supply, Jack Fowler Insurance, Village Pharmacy, Iannetti’s Garden Center, Blakemore Insurance Agency, R.E. The event is open to those 21 and older. The cost is $15 per person. Tickets are available in advance and at the door.

Proceeds support parish projects.
