Mingo Lions news

Six members of the Mingo Lions Club – Dr. William and Jo Ann Johns, Leroy and Clara Sue Milewsky, and Bill and Terry Snyder – attended the 13-G District Convention held recently in New Philadelphia.

They had the distinction of being presented with the International President’s Pin by International Director Bob Corlew and District Gov. Beth Johnson, who choose the club for the honors because of its help in making the convention especially memorable.

Dr. William Johns and Bill Snyder did the presentation of colors at the convention while Clara Sue Milewsky, who led the Pledge of Allegiance, was presented with the 100 percent Secretarial Award.

The club donated to all causes at the Parade of Checks.

Entertainment was provided by InnerVision, a group of blind musicians.

At the end of the convention, Dr. William Johns and Bill Snyder retired the colors. As they folded the flag, Terry Snyder read what the 13 folds stood for. The flag was presented to the oldest veteran at the convention. Top photo, from left, are Leroy and Clara Sue Milewsky, Dr. William and Jo Ann Johns and Terry and Bill Snyder.
