Roger “Hambone” Kirkpatrick of Weirton Elks Lodge 1801 was elected West Virginia Elks Association Vice President North at the state convention held April 25-28 at Oglebay Park in Wheeling.

Kirkpatrick has been a lodge member for 19 years and served as exalted ruler in 2007-08. He has served in several positions, including secretary from 1995 to 2007 and as a trustee since 2008. Kirkpatrick was named trustees chair in 2010.

He has chaired several committees, including the Elks Foundation Committee. The Ground Lodge appointed him to serve the Northern District of West Virginia as District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for 2011-12 after serving as District Deputy Esquire the year before.

Kirkpatrick has served on several state committees and has been the Business Committee assistant chair since 2009. He also is on the membership, state audit and foundation committees and the Major Board.

He works for Choice Brands of Ohio in Mingo Junction. Kirkpatrick and his wife Susan live in Weirton.
