Methodist camp welcomes evangelist

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – The Tri-State Free Methodist Campground will host the 91st annual camp meeting July 11-21 at the grounds located at 1027 Anderson Boulevard.

The Rev. Jake Huffman from Villa Heights Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va., is this year’s evangelist. Huffman began his ministry as a missionary in Africa where he coached basketball at the University of Zambia for two years.

During Family Camp 2013, Huffman will speak on a series of messages taken from Daniel, “Prophecy: Living a Holy Life in a Corrupted World.”

“It’s time for the church to rediscover this prophetic message in a culture that is slipping further away from the truth,” said Huffman.

Evening services begin at 7 p.m. and parking is available on the grounds. Casual, but respectful, dress is appropriate.

Since its inception, people from many different faiths and backgrounds have attended and are welcome. This event draws families primarily from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, but people attend from as far away as New York, Florida and the New England area.
