Zombie invasion announced

MCDONALD, Pa. – Urban Assault Paintball will be facing a zombie invasion, beginning at the end of June and running through Halloween at the facility located at 217 Laurel Hill Road.

The facility offers two indoor fields over 30,000 square feet with black lights, fog machines, catwalks and barricades, and eight outdoor fields with varying terrains including naturally wooded fields and the “Fields of Fury.”

“We’re looking for a few good people to join the Urban Assault Zombie Outbreak Response Team, codenamed Joker Squad,” said owner Phil Thompson. “As a member of Joker Squad, you and your fellow squadmates will attempt to make it through hordes of zombies to reach the CDC Headquarters. Once there you will defend the headquarters until every last zombie has been eradicated.

“If you’ve ever wanted to try out paintball without the risk of being shot, then this is your chance! Apparently zombies aren’t coordinated enough to operate the paint markers. So it’s just you, your squad and some good old fashioned zombie shooting fun. One last word of advice though only headshots work on the undead.”

Enlistment in Joker Squad costs $35 and includes all necessary equipment. Food and refreshments will be sold.

Volunteer zombies are being accepted, and those interested should call (724) 926-9000.

Zombie invasions will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight June 29, July 27, Aug. 31, Sept. 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26.

Urban Assault offers military discounts.
