Bank to present free seminars
WEIRTON – Hancock County Savings Bank has scheduled a series of free training seminars, available for area residents.
All seminars will be held in the community room of the bank’s 375 Three Springs Drive, Weirton location.
The seminars include:
- “Fraud, Identity Theft and Check Scams. How to Protect You,” 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 23. Presented by Barbara Matey, vice president of human resources at Hancock County Savings Bank
- “Grantwriting Basics – Non-profit Boards,” 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 20. Presented by Carole Scheerbaum, West Virginia University Extension agent and instructor for Hancock County
- “Budgeting for Non-profit Businesses,” 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Sept. 17. Presented by Dan E. Wilson, certified public accountant with Bodkin, Wilson and Kozicki
- “Robert’s Rules of Order, Using Parliamentary Procedure to Conduct Board Meetings,”?5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Oct. 15. Presented by John Sorrenti, trainer and motivational speaker with the West Virginia State Auditor’s Office.
These seminars are open to the public and provided as a community service by Hancock County Savings Bank.
