Family Connections plans drawing

WELLSBURG – Family Connections Inc. added two Board of Directors members, Sally Greathouse and Bernice Pitcock, at a recent meeting at Staffileno’s on the River in Wellsburg.

Pitcock, a former board member, is a retired registered nurse, and Greathouse co-owns Greathouse Realty, which has offices in Weirton and Chester.

The board includes nine people representing various professions and occupations in the Northern Panhandle. The board includes President Chris Byers, Vice President Jennifer Kirkbride, Secretary Peggy Cartus, Treasurer Kathy Furbee, Cathy Sobel, Michael Palm and Family Connections Executive Director Joanne Dobrzanski. Family Connections is a nonprofit child care agency and behavioral health center, providing residential treatment for teenage girls and out-patient counseling.

Family Connections/Brooke Place will hold a drawing for West Virginia University football tickets during the Weirton Renaissance Festival July 6 at the Weirton Event Center. The winner will receive home game tickets and WVU items.

Co-chairs Linda Howell and Jean Bartholow, Family Connections Fund Development Auxiliary members, will be selling tickets and answering questions.
