Amsterdam Community Church of God

The Amsterdam Community Church of God will hold its annual vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 29 through Aug. 2.

On Aug. 4 at the church’s 10:30 a.m. service, there will be a children’s program with a luncheon held afterwards.

The VBS program is entitled “SonWest Roundup: A Rip Roaring Good Time with Jesus!” and is for children ages preschool through sixth grade. It will include Bible lessons, memory verses, songs, crafts, games and refreshments.

Hopedale area community

Bloomingdale Presbyterian, Hopedale United Presbyterian, Cadiz Presbyterian, Hopedale United Methodist and Nottingham Presbyterian Churches are partnering to host a communitywide vacation Bible school on July 21-25 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

It will be held at Hopedale United Presbyterian Church, with transportation being available to youth in Cadiz and Bloomingdale. To register early or for those needing transportation, call Cadiz Presbyterian Church, 154 W. Market St., Cadiz, at (740) 942-2366 or stop by between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. week days.

A permission slip must be signed for a child to be transported.

The VBS program is open to children age 4 through sixth grade. Children participating should be potty trained, according to a news release.

The House of Faith

“Yes Jesus Loves Me” will be the theme of vacation Bible school outreach at The House of Faith located at 1913 Estelle Ave., Steubenville.

The two-week program runs from July 15-19 and July 22-26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is for ages 4 to 18.

Lunch will be served.

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, located at 2305 state Route 213, Steubenville, will hold its vacation Bible School on July 14-18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

It is open to children age 4 through 12th grade.

“Colossal Coaster World” will be the theme and will include Bible study, snacks, recreation, music, missions and crafts.

During the same week, teenagers can experience “Thrill Seekers” with Bible study and special activities planned just for them. Adults also will have the opportunity to participate in a Bible study.

Promise of Victory Church of God

Promise of Victory Church of God in Colliers will hold a vacation Bible school from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 22-26 for ages 2 to 12.

The church is at the intersection of Eldersville and Mechling Hill roads, behind the former Korner Kupboard store.

Rosemont Chapel

Rosemont Chapel, which is located at the corner of Williams Boulevard and Goulds Road, Steubenville, will host its vacation Bible school on July 22-26 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The theme of the program for children age 4 through teens is “SonWest Roundup.” It will combine crafts, singing and learning.

Vacation Bible Schools

Chapel Hill Wesleyan

Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church will hold a vacation Bible school, “Kingdom Rock – Where Kids Stand Strong for God,” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. July 15-19 at the church located at 139 Gilson Ave., Weirton.

The event will include Bible-learning activities, songs, treats, science projects and “Bible Memory Buddies.” Each evening will conclude with the “Knight’s Finale,” a celebration to reiterate what the children learned that day.

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend the finale, which begins at 8 p.m.

Finley United Methodist

Finley United Methodist Church, 958 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville, will host its vacation Bible school for children in pre-kindergarten through grade six beginning Monday and continuing through Friday.

It will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The theme is “Kingdom Rock – Where Kids Stand Strong for God.”

“Each day, kids participate in small groups, called Crews, and discover what it means to stand strong for God. They will discover that God is active in our lives and that his fingerprints are everywhere,” according to a press release.

The program will include activities, Bible songs, games and treats.
