Weirton Greek Festival nears

The 26th-annual Weirton Greek Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 18-20 at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church located at 3528 West St., Weirton.

The event features homemade Greek food and pastries, music, ethnic dancing, a market place, fellowship and church tours. The fish plaki and moussaka will now both be available daily because of popular demand.

Disc jockey Jim Antoniou will be playing music all three days. The Greek Co. Orchestra will perform from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. all three days. The All Saints Patriotakia and Aegean Dancers will perform at 8 p.m. July 20. The entertainment schedule is tentative and subject to change.

The Market Place will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and church tours will be available all three days of the festival.

Admission and parking are free. The church is now accepting credit and debit cards at specified booths with a $10 minimum for individuals, a $20 minimum for pre-orders and a $50 minimum for business deliveries.

Those making individual purchases can’t combine purchases from different booths to reach the minimum. Those making pre-orders must place their order by phone at (304) 797-9884 or fax at (304) 797-1725 at least one hour before pick-up. Orders can be picked up at the pre-order window in the hall. No pre-orders can be accepted after 5 p.m. Business delivery is available from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 18-19 with a $50 minimum order required.
