Starkdale schedules Back-to-School Bash

As a treat for the youth, their friends and the area at-large, Starkdale Presbyterian Church of Steubenville welcomes back “The Voice” contestant and current Christian recording artist Jeff Anderson as part of the church’s “Back to School Bash” scheduled for Aug. 25.

“With the youth of our community heading back for a new school year this concert will offer a healthy, God-focused approach to making their year more successful,” said Bobbyjon Bauman, youth pastor.

“Jeff has a way of reaching teens. His first visit here was very well received and his message inspirational. Now we want to share the experience with the community,” Bauman said.

The Starkdale Youth Ministries will host the “Back-to-School Bash” at the church located at 4600 Sunset Blvd. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. A meet-and-greet Anderson will follow with complimentary pizza and pop on the church lawn. Back-to-school supplies will be distributed to the youth attending the event while supplies last. There will be giveaways of 12 Sand Castle tickets and several Christian CDs.

For information about Anderson, visit the website jeffandersononline.com. For information about Starkdale Youth activities, visit the website starkdale.org or contact Bauman at the church office at (740) 264-5309 or by e-mail at bobbyjonbauman@gmail.com.

“Our mission is to glorify God and share his love for all humanity by proclaiming and celebrating salvation through Christ’s life, death, and resurrection; growing in discipleship through the teachings of the Bible, and serving the needs of all people,” he said.
