Washington fair continues through Saturday

WASHINGTON – The 2013 Washington County Agricultural Fair, with the theme, “Harvest Your Dreams,” continues thorugh Saturday at the county fairgrounds located at 2151 N. Main St.

The fair includes carnival rides and games; performances by singers, dancers and local high school bands; concerts; a variety of contests, from cooking and baking to livestock and showing; livestock exhibits and sales; harness racing; tractor and truck pulls; demolition derbies; rodeos; monster trucks; and a variety of food vendors.

The 2013 fair schedule is:

Tickets are $9 per person Aug. 10, 12, 14 and 16-17; and $6 Aug. 11, 13 and 15.

Friday is children’s day and those aged 12 and younger have free admission until 4 p.m.

There is no charge for children 4 and younger who don’t ride. Week-long passes are $30, but don’t include rides.

Admission includes shows, entertainment, petting zoo, rides and parking.

Parking is free at fairground lots.
