Never Alone West Virginia will hold the fourth annual rally at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Weirton Event Center.

The organization will have bulletin boards at the entrances, encouraging everyone to sign their names, supporting a drug-free community.

Judge Dwayne Woodruff, a former Pittsburgh Steeler and founding partner of a law firm, will speak. Woodruff is chair of “Do the Write Thing,” a program encouraging middle school students to examine how violence impacts their lives through writing.

Joey Delsardo, a former University of Pittsburgh football player, will speak about his addiction. Delsardo has been sober for five years and speaks at high schools and sporting events.

The event will include performers, face-painting, basket drawing, food and vendors, balloon art, 50/50 drawings, dance, a moment of silence for those lost, a balloon launch and candlelight vigil walk.

Never Alone values the chamber relationship, which allows the group to become familiar with the community and business partners.

Vendors are sought for the event. Those interested can contact Patti Barnabei at (304) 797-1579. The group accepts donations at Never Alone, P.O. Box 2896, Weirton, WV 26062.

After a few years of talking about the idea of opening up a nice little restaurant on April 15 Dan and Lori Milantoni opened the Trackside Grill.

Trackside Grill offers foods from burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, wings and more. You can eat in or take out. All food is homemade and everything is cut to order from rib eye steak to fresh cut fries.

The atmosphere inside is very nice with a Railroad theme. There is no smoking; but plenty of TV’s to watch for your convenience. They serve pop, wine, wine coolers and beer.

Trackside Grill has recently joined the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce and they have been nothing but great. Dan, Lori, and the Trackside staff would like to say Thank you!!

Currently Trackside Grill is opened Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Starting High School Football season they will stay open till midnight on Friday and Saturday’s.

Call today for any questions or to place an order at 304-914-4229.

Come out and enjoy some great food and great company!

Allstate Agent Joyia Lytle’s knowledge and understanding of the Weirton community help her provide customers with an outstanding level of service.

She looks forward to helping families protect the things that are important – family, home and car. As an Allstate agent, she helps clients understand how the choices they make – such as the car they drive – affect their insurance rate. She’s committed to helping them get the appropriate level of protection and make it easy to do business with Allstate.

The Allstate Agency in Weirton has been a proud Chamber of Commerce member since 1995, so naturally when Lytle took over the agency, continuing the relationship was a no-brainer. With all that the chamber offers, every local business should be involved at some level.

Mayhem really does happen every day. Mayhem striking is not a matter of “if,” it’s a matter of “when.” Lytle’s job is to make sure clients are properly covered. It’s free to come in and sit down with her and do an insurance review of available coverage. Stop in or call their office today at (304) 723-3612. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and evenings and weekends by appointment.
