Association holds first car cruise
WEIRTON – The Marland Heights Community Association held their first car cruise at Marland Heights Pool and Park Sunday.
There were approximately 70 cars, trucks and hot rods. All participants were given a dash plaque and were eligible to vote on the winners.
Bruce and Barbara Foraker’s 1951 Ford F-1 pickup was voted best paint and best truck; Glenn R. Lesson’s 1966 Mustang, best Ford; Warren Mazzoco’s 1970 Dodge Superbee, best Mopar; Perry Duckworth’s 1968 Camaro, best General Motors; Chuck Maloney’s 1940 Ford Custom Deluxe Coupe, best pre-1950 automobile; Mickey Cupp’s 1957 Chevy Nomad, best pre-1960 automobile; Sam and Chris Greco’s 1972 Chevy Nova, best pre-1970 automobile; and BJ Hammonds Jr.’s 2009 Dodge Challenger, best post-1961 automobile.
