Beaver Creek eyes Pioneer Craft Days

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – The 36nd annual Pioneer Craft Days will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5-6 at Beaver Creek State Park located at 12021 Echo Dell Road.

Volunteers will be grinding grain with the only operating water-powered grist mill in Columbiana County, blacksmithing, offering programs at the one-room schoolhouse, spinning and weaving. There will be an expanded exhibit on “The Surrender Tree,” under which Confederate Gen. John Hunt Morgan surrendered. The Trading Post will be selling snacks and souvenirs, and there will be artisans, crafters, demonstrators, food vendors and musicians performing period music.

Artisans, antique vendors and antique farm equipment displays can be registered until Sept. 30.
