Health care forum in Weirton

The Weirton Woman’s Club, a General Federation of Women’s Clubs of West Virginia member organization, will hold a panel on the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare, at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Serbian American Cultural Center located on Colliers Way, Weirton.

Policy/Legislation Chair Betty Kraina and her committee are sponsoring the event to educate area residents about health care issues dealing with the Affordable Care Act.

A panel of health care professionals will be answering questions. They include: J.J. Bernabei, Tri State Medical Group Pharmacy; Dr. Rachel Gelman, Weirton Medical Center; Pam Krushansky, U.S. Rep. David McKinley, R-Wheeling, field representative; accountant Albert Macre; Colleen Rackley-Cuda, Aetna Care Reform Project Management Office senior program director; Sara Hawthorne-Bohn; Dr. Atul Shetty, internal medicine; Judy Raveaux, C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc.; Dave Sloan, McKinley health law fellow; and Maryjo Guidi, U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., regional coordinator. Kelli McCoy will be the moderator.
