WEIRTON – Weirton Madonna High School will hold a beer- and wine-tasting with live and silent auctions Oct. 25 at Williams Country Club located at 1000 Williams Drive.

The doors open at 6 p.m., and the live auction begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door and include hors d’oeuvres, six tasting tickets and auction registration. Tickets are available by calling Jennifer Parker at (740) 632-1567.

Auction items include a “top gun” experience as a fighter pilot for a day in a military aircraft; a sports getaway package for two; tickets to the 48th annual Country Music Awards and an after-party; a concert getaway package for two; one day at the 2014 Masters Golf Tournament; two days at the Masters Golf Tournament for two; a four-day, three-night NASCAR fan experience in Charlotte, N.C., for two; tickets to the 2014 People’s Choice Awards and pre-awards reception; a trip for two to the 2014 Kentucky Derby; and a trip for two to the 2014 Super Bowl.

Williams Country Club and Wine and Beverage Merchants are the sponsors. Proceeds benefit the Madonna Annual Fund.

Tuition at the school is approximately $1,000 less per student then the cost to educate them, resulting in a $185,000 shortage each year. The Madonna Annual Fund bridges the gap to keep tuition low and raise funds to improve the facilities.
