Pharmacy sponsoring health fair Wednesday
Diamond Pharmacy, 503 Cadiz Road, Wintersville, is offering pneumonia and flu shots at its seventh-annual fall health fair scheduled for Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no cost to Medicare participants.
Vaccines will be provided in addition to blood pressure and blood sugar screenings in the Trinity mobile health unit. Tri-State Audiology, Valley Hospice and a massage therapist from Schrickel Health and Wellness Center will be represented along with information on the Christian Connection Counseling Center.
Several local vendors will be on hand, including Buena Vista Honey Farm, Woodland Trail Mums, the Mole Hill pumpkins, cornstalks and vegetables and Stella Panagis Greek pastries.
Diamond Pharmacy offers a personalized service for prescription counseling as well as free Medicare Part D registration and enrollment, according to a spokesman. The service of offering flu, pneumonia, shingle and other vaccines is available with a registered nurse on staff. Call the pharmacy at (740) 264-6500 to reserve a vaccine.
The health fair also will include a complimentary lunch, information on health care needs and drawings for prizes.
