Seekers install new officers

WEIRTON – The September Fun Seekers meeting was called to order by President David Hunt.

Joann Bugin gave the invocation and led members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing “God Bless America.”

Velma Cilli gave tribute to the outgoing officers for their work and supporting the club. The new officers include Hunt, Vice President Larry Bauer, Treasurer J. DeFallo, Secretary Mary Beth Bauer and Trustee David Krause; they will serve two years.

The secretary and treasurer reports were given and approved by membership.

Tour directors David Krause and Regina Truax announced the following trips:

Sept. 30, Polynesian Fire at Seven Springs, Pa.;

Oct. 4, Hartville Market Place Festival; and

Oct. 6-12, Myrtle Beach.

Hunt led the group in game playing, with winners including Pat Rossi, Mav Kearney, Rose Chappano and Roberta Antinone. Pat Marshall won the 50/50 drawing. Lil Cellini, David Krause, J. DeFallo, Edith Cooper, Loretta Tomasili, Eva Fabianich, Pat Marshall, Judy Gaynor, Regina Truax, Walter Klepadlo, Mary Orecchio and Beverly DiBiase won door prizes. Peggy Barber won the club dinner.

Entertainment Chair Joann Bugin is stepping down and a volunteer is needed to fill the position.

Discussion followed regarding entertainers, speakers or games for the meetings.

Bugin gave the benediction, and the meeting adjourned.
