DeLuca addresses Alpha Tau Chapter
NEW CUMBERLAND – The Alpha Tau Chapter of West Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa held their October meeting at the Swaney Memorial Library.
President Fran Jones called the meeting to order. Chaplain Donna Durkin gave the Thought for the Day, “The Mousetrap.”
Corresponding Secretary Shirley Washam called roll and read communication. Recording Secretary Donna Bohach read the previous meeting’s minutes. Treasurer Stacy Slack gave the financial report. Committee reports were given.
Retired Hancock County teacher Shirley DeLuca gave a presentation on her travels, including Lithuania, and shared her collection of artifacts.
State Alpha Delta Kappa President Crystal Baranowski attended and updated the group about several upcoming events.
Rita Schmitt and Susan Gracie gave a special program on the founders of Alpha Delta Kappa in observation of Alpha Delta Kappa month. ADK Month Chair Diana Yocina distributed books to each Hancock County school library.
Bohach, Pat Long, Donna Popovich and Shirley Washam were hostesses.
Diana Yocina will present a craft program at the November meeting.
