Fun Seekers hold meeting

WEIRTON – Fun Seekers President David Hunt opened the December meeting and called on Joann Bugin to deliver the invocation, followed by members reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing “God Bless America.”

Bugin introduced the Casey School of Dance dancers, who performed their Christmas program.

David Krause spoke about the tours being offered for 2014.

They include:

March 29, doo-wop concert at Wheeling Capital Music Hall;

April 12-15, Atlantic City; and

May 9-10, Lancaster, Pa., Sight and Sound Theatre.

Members observed Dave and Ellen Hunt’s 37th anniversary.

Members voted to forgo the business meeting.

Barbara Purks and Truax won the 50/50 drawing. The following won door prizes: Howard Day and Richard Dobbs won free dinners. After extending wishes for a happy holiday season, Hunt called on Bugin for the benediction.

There will be no January meeting. The next meeting will be Feb. 5 at Weirton Undo’s.
