Mingo Lions Club holds Christmas celebration

The Mingo Lions Club’s Christmas party hosted by Jeff Schuetz was a covered-dish event held at Schuetz Funeral Home where President James Freiling welcomed members and guests.

Karen Edwards led with the opening prayer and opening exercises before reading a Christmas poem.

Jo Ann Johns guessed the number of pieces of candy in the candy tin.

Terry Snyder won the Christmas song game.

Dr. William Johns conducted the white elephant sale with proceeds benefiting club projects.

Freiling presented Schuetz with a gift for hosting the party. Schuetz displayed a Lion club’s flag that Snyder made for him for his business establishment.

Door prizes were exchanged. Edwards won a special prize.

Guests were Kathy Freiling and Vince Schunk.

Jim Freiling won the drawing, donating it back to the club.

The next regular meeting will be held Jan. 20.
