The workshop meeting for November was presented by Barb Momyer and Steve Whiting on the topic of filters that can be used on cameras.

Momyer showed a video on the topic. One of the filters in the video featured a neutral density filter, which can be helpful in changing the lighting of a picture to improve it.

Whiting explained about different filters that can be attached to the camera lens. He also showed the group enlarged photographs of his that were taken with use of filters demonstrating in particular a star filter effect and tobacco colored filter. The filters can create special effects for photos, and there are several different colors that can be used to turn a picture into different colors and create other interesting effects such as turning lights in a photo into a star pattern, he said.
