Fundraiser benefits health center

STEUBEVILLE, Ohio – A segment of the board of directors for the Jefferson County Fourth Street Health Center are fulfilling one of their commitments to the center and the community by hosting a new fundraiser for the health center.

The group will host what its members are calling “Jazzy Jeans and Jewels.”

It will be held on Feb. 1 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hellenic Hall located at 300 S. Fourth St., in Steubenville.

The menu will consist of culinary cuisine prepared by area celebrities, who will be identified in the weeks to come.

In addition, patrons of the event are urged to come dressed in “jazzy jeans” and their favorite glittery jewelry.

There will be a contest judging the “jazzy favorites.”

“The attendees will dance to the music of disc jockey Ross Ivkovich and have the chance to win prizes,” a spokesperson said.

Tickets are $30 per person or $50 for a couple.

All of the committee for this event also will assist with the annual gala ball held in the spring and traditionally raising more than $100,000 for the health center.
