Bethany students visited Middle East

BETHANY – Students from Bethany College’s business and accounting club and its economics club, along with Business Club advisor Anju Ramjee, traveled to the United Arab Emirates on Dec. 17.

Ramjee, a professor of economics and finance at the college, said the students learned about the financial importance of Dubai to the Middle East and the culture of the region.

They visited Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi and toured the heritage village and museums, Islamic heritage center in Sharjah, the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world; the Dubai Mall, Ferrari racetrack, the Grand White Mosque and enjoyed the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf.
