Club honors Silver Sisters

NEW CUMBERLAND – The Alpha Tau Chapter of the West Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa held its February meeting at Nessly Chapel Methodist Church with President Fran Jones presiding.

Chaplain Donna Durkin gave the thought for the day, “Silver Sisters.”

Reports were given by Corresponding Secretary Shirley Washam; Recording Secretary Donna Bohach; and Stacy Slack, treasurer’s report.

Committee reports also were given.

Members discussed the spring Ohio Valley District meeting, the state convention, the Southeast Region conference and the 2014-16 slate of officers.

Members honored Silver Sisters Karen Oyster and Rita Schmitt for their 25 years of membership with a special ceremony.

Diane Bowers, Ginger Greene and Sue Smith were hostesses.
