Heritage Public Library holding its annual spring auction
MCDONALD – The Heritage Public Library will hold its annual spring auction March 4-May 1 at the library located at 52 Fourth St.
Ticket are two for $1 or 12 for $5.
Prizes include a signed Manny Sanguillen photo; Thirty-One bag; George Foreman Grill; Hoover wet/dry vacuum; Easy Sew portable sewing machine; king-sized sheets; throw; spring wreath; Party Lite candles; and an hour session with photographer Danielle Nicole.

The book club meets at at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month. The group will next meet March 11. Those wanting to suggest a book for the group may do so by sending an email to email@example.com.
The McQuilters quilting group meets at 10 a.m. the second Wednesday of each in the community room. It will next meet March 12.
The library board of directors meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month. The board is seeking new members. Those interested should contact the library at (724) 926-8400. It will next meet March 12.
Friends of the Library meetings are at 6:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month. It will next meet March 19. The friends have two membership levels, including a full membership with voting privileges for $10 and an associate membership for $5. The LEGO Club meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the last Thursday of each month, and children are encouraged to build and play with LEGOs. It will next meet March 27.
The library has Andy’s Candies available for sale.
Storytime is held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursdays, and Weight Watchers meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays.
The library offers daily sponsorships for $100, during which the library’s phone is answered informing callers who is sponsoring the library and signage is displayed in the library. Sponsors also are mentioned on the library’s social media platforms. Sponsorships for Mondays and Fridays are $50. Individual sponsors pay half price.
The library participates in the ABITIBI recycling fundraising program.
The library has borough history on microfilm from the 1890s to 1982. It also offers fax services, a copy machine, a scanner, Internet and computer access and e-books, which can be checked out on the library’s website, using a valid library card number.

Library hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
