Library lists upcoming events

WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library has announced upcoming programs.

They include:

noon March 25, “Lunch With Books, Wheeling Island Memories.”

The Neighborhood Nostalgia Series continues. Share memories and bring photos of life on Wheeling Island to have them scanned.

Lunch With Books programs are free and open to the public. Patrons are invited to bring a bag lunch and free beverages are served.

7 p.m. March 25, “People’s University, Astronomy: The Home Galaxy.”

“The Home Galaxy” will take a look at rapidly orbiting young stars, senior stars in separate quarters, and a lurking central black hole.

People’s University programs are free and open to the public.

noon, April 1, “Lunch With Books, 28 Years of Questions, 45 Minutes of Answers.”

Naturalist Scott Shalaway will review of some of the most interesting and “weirdest” questions he’s gotten over the years. He will also touch briefly on bird-friendly coffees.

Lunch With Books programs are free and open to the public. Patrons are invited to bring a bag lunch and free beverages are served.

noon April 8, “Lunch With Books: The English Garden.”

Barbara Robinson-Pirhalla will discuss her book, “England: A Garden and Landscape Glossary.”
