Their focus is on civil engineering, surveying and mapping. Pedersen and Pedersen serves a diverse client base that ranges from major corporate entities to residential home owners. They understand every client has different needs. Their staff is readily adaptable to each situation.

Pedersen and Pedersen Inc. offers three full-time and two part-time fully equipped survey crews with state-of-the-art equipment who are able to mobilize quickly to any project location. All crews have extensive and diversified experience conducting boundary, roadway, bridge, hydraulic design and construction surveys. Support staff includes quality assurance personnel, drafters and project managers.

Their project team has a solid record working for both public and private clients, and a history of bringing projects together on time and within budget based on established field, design and time management protocol. They have the experience to creatively manage difficult field situations. Nothing beats experience.

Pedersen and Pedersen has been a proud member of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce for several years. Their membership with the chamber has given them exposure to clients they would not normally have.

Family Connections is a nonprofit, behavioral health and social service agency established in 1976 with sites in Hancock and Brooke counties.

The organization is dually licensed by the State of West Virginia and an active member of the West Virginia Child Care Association.

Family Connections is committed to helping individuals function to the best of their abilities by using the resources that exist naturally in the family and community. The organization offers residential group treatment for up to 12 adolescent young women at its Brooke Place facility in Colliers. The clinic, located in the Medical Offices Building of Weirton Medical Center, provides individual and family counseling.

Family Connections has begun, in earnest, an educational process whereby their programs and services are becoming more widely known in the communities of Hancock and Brooke counties.

Their membership in the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce provides a vehicle for Family Connections, its employees and clientele to invest in the betterment of the local community. The win/win for them is growing community support for what they do.

Chris Paul and his wife, Cynthia, own Tudor’s Biscuit World, located at 3620 Main St., Weirton.

They opened their business Oct. 6, 2009. The business have a large sit-down dining room and a drive-through. Carry-out is available by calling (304) 748-0658.

They offer a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.

They have given biscuit sandwiches names such as Ron, Mary B and Mountaineer and Blue Don, Red Rider and Golden Bear, after Hancock County high school mascots. A Bruin Burger, named after the Brooke High School mascot, also is available.

They offer burgers and fish and chicken sandwiches for lunch. Dinner platters are available, such as creamed chicken on Mondays, baked steak on Wednesdays and meatloaf on Thursdays.

Hours are 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
