Program accepts applications

MCDONALD, Pa. – The McDonald Borough Summer Tennis Program will be held from June 10 to July 31 at Heritage Park’s Harry Collins Courts.

Classes are available for children aged 5 to 17 and adults. Children’s lessons are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and adult lessons are held Tuesday evenings. There also will be a high school preparatory class for boys and girls.

The cost is $40 for the first child for 16 one-hour lessons and additional children are $20 each. Adults are $60 for eight one-and-a-half hour lessons.

All children’s classes will meet at 10 a.m. June 9 to meet the coach and be evaluated. There are beginners and intermediate classes for 5- through 10-year-olds and for 11- through 17-year-olds.

Those participating must bring a hat, water bottle and tennis shoes. Those with racquets are asked to bring them, and those without a racquet will be provided one.

Registration forms are available at the borough offices, McDonald Pharmacy, Heritage Library and the China Dragon Restaurant. The registration deadline is June 1.
