Sixth-annual Christ Walk after Good Friday service

The sixth-annual Christ Walk will get under way on Good Friday immediately following a noon ecumenical service hosted by the Valley Pastors Network at First Westminster Presbyterian Church, 235 N. Fourth St., Steubenville.

“Each year more and more people spend their Good Friday in unity walking this 7-mile prayer walk in remembrance that Easter is about Christ’s sacrifice,” a news release notes about the walk estimated to begin at 1 p.m. and end by 4 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 110 Springdale Ave., Wintersville, where a concluding service will be held.

“We want to invite each of you to come join with us this year on our journey,” the news release notes. “It does not matter how old you are, what you wear, or where you go to church. This day is about unifying the kingdom of God and celebrating together. If you can not walk 7 miles there are other stops along the way where you can join in or catch a ride in the van that follows behind us.”
