Paris Presbyterian announces events

PARIS, Pa. – The Paris Presbyterian Church has announced upcoming events to be held at the church located at 127 Steubenville Pike.

They include:

noon May 28, Coffee With the Author: Mary Jean Bonar. Bonar is the West Hope Trilogy author and recently released “Go Forth! And the Band Played On.” The trilogy also includes the previously released “Look to the Hills” and “Blessed Abundantly.” The event includes lunch, presentation and book signing at The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. June 6, Music on the Deck: The Chrisagis Brothers, contemporary Christian. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. June 13, Music on the Deck: Tammy Davis, country and southern gospel. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. June 20, Music on the Deck: In His Name, contemporary Christian music. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

noon June 25, “Gardening Talk Luncheon.” Master Gardener Martha Swiss will discuss designing outdoor gardens at The Gathering Place Coffee Shop. A free lunch will be served.

7 p.m. June 27, Music on the Deck: The Harmony Brothers, oldies. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. July 11, Music on the Deck: Mark Miller, acoustic jazz guitar. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

noon July 16, Coffee With the Author: Carol Moessinger. Moessinger is the author of “A Woman’s Role.” The event includes lunch, a presentation and book signing at The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. July 18, Music on the Deck: The Donahues, oldies. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. July 25, Music on the Deck: Bluegrass. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

7 p.m. Aug. 1, Music on the Deck: New Hope, Upstream and Friends, all contemporary Christian. Bring a lawn chair; free beverages will be served. Concerts are free and are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, concerts will be moved into The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

noon Aug. 20, Coffee With the Author: Annette Dashofy. Dashofy is the author of “Circle of Influence.” The second book in her Zoe Chambers Mystery series, “Lost Legacy,” will be released in September.

The event will include lunch, a presentation and book signing at The Gathering Place Coffee Shop.

11 a.m. Sept. 13, Faithful Women’s Gathering. The event will include speakers and music. Tammy Davis will sing and give testimony. The Chrisagis Brothers will perform.

Oct. 4, Blessing of the Pets.

7 p.m. Oct. 10, Halloween mystery dinner featuring the Wayward Saints.

The fundraiser will support the church’s outreach projects and feature a meal and interactive theater performance. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at the church.

7 p.m. Oct. 24, An Evening With Mark Twain. Stephen Hollen will portray author, newspaperman and humorist Mark Twain.
