Church holding Bible school

WEIRTON – Christ United Methodist Church will hold a “Workshop of Wonders” Vacation Bible School, beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, and continuing from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through June 26 at the church located at 3598 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton Heights.

It is open to children from age 3 through the fifth grade. The program features a mission project teaching participating children about the Table of Hope mission. The children will learn about feeding people in need in their own hometown and how many children all over the world don’t have much to eat.

Pittsburgh-based magician David Lawrence will perform during the June 26 finale. Parents, grandparents and friends are invited to attend.

Molly Kopa is the vacation Bible school director and the Rev. Tim Conrad is the pastor.

NEW CUMBERLAND – New Cumberland Nazarene Family Life Center will hold a vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 23-27 at the center located at state Route 8 and Washington School Road.

It for children ages pre-kindergarten through age 12.

The theme will be “Treasures of the Nile.”
